We'll start with Saturday cause Friday all I did was work. But Saturday when Jeff asked what I wanted to do I told him there was "stuff" going on at Riverside Park. Meaning a midway, a parade, Canada Day celebratory stuff. Stuff he also avoids like the plague. But Shaughny is so cute on the rides and she loves them. I didn't figure he'd have anything to counter with so...
Much to my surprise he did. He said, "What about Doon Heritage Crossroads village?" Ok, we've never been there so thats where we went. Also, he's a history buff. Was good. lots of folks, you never saw so many *Canada* tshirts in your life. It kept me amused looking at all the different stlyes. Yes that included the 3 of us. Shaughny wore her Little Miss Canada shirt, Jeff's read Made in Canada and I wore my red with white maple leaves maternity top I made when I was expecting Shaughn. Got complimented on it too.:) So spent the afternoon wandering around Little House on the Prarie type village. Wanted to try the stilt walking, only...I'm a bit off balance shall we say? Shaughny liked the cow and her calf best. She offered the calf her sippy cup.
Worked Saturday night with the boss's son. Was suprisingly slow till it rained and then it got busier. ??? Very odd, folks running down the road inthe rain to get ice cream. Bosslady proved herself a genius by scheduling D. to work the 1-5 shift (very busy) ALONE. Hard to pawn the work off on someone else when there is no one else. I told Jeff not to drop me off early cause I was trying to be polite to D. He said, "Why bother, you only have 1 weekend left, let her have it." :) I was good though. Till she left anyway.
Sunday...sunday...I know we did something...Went out for brunch, oh Jeff went to Future Shop but I didn't go in cause Shaughny was asleep in her car seat so we just stayed in the car. Worked again with S.
Today, we heard about a petting zoo at Riverside Park. Well, it isn't really, its a few large pens with ponies, sheep, goats and 2 cows. Still Shaughn liked seeing them, and she got to pet the ponies. Had lunch out, then stopped by a fabric store that is going outof business. 75%off everything was not too shabby at all. :)
